- Based on the submitted video recording of the required repertoire, approximately 15 competitors will be selected to advance to the First Round.

First Prize.................. Award certificate and 1,200,000 Yen in prize money
Second Prize...............Award certificate and 800,000 Yen in prize money
Third Prize..................Award certificate and 600,000 Yen in prize money
Litaize Prize................Award certificate and 2,000 Euros
*Taxes will be deducted from the above-mentioned prize money in accordance with Japanese tax law.
*The Litaize Prize will be awarded to one competitor selected from among the First Round participants.
The recipient will be announced together with the First Round results.
The prize money for the Litaize Prize is provided by the Association Gaston Litaize.

The First Prize winner will be invited by the Musashino Foundation for Culture and Lifelong Learning to give a concert in Japan during the 2029 fiscal year.
Further details will be announced on the official pipe organ website of the Foundation as soon as they are finalized.

Machikado Concert
-
Competitors who do not advance beyond the First or Second Round may be invited to perform in the Machikado Concert, one of the events held in conjunction with the competition.
Further details will be provided to successful audition applicants.

Travel Expenses
-
Travel expenses will be provided to competitors selected to participate in the First Round, subject to the following conditions.
Applicants Residing in Japan
All travel expenses shall be borne by the competitor.
Applicants Residing Outside Japan
For competitors residing outside Japan, the Secretariat will reimburse the actual airfare or the maximum amount specified below for each region, whichever is lower.
The reimbursement will be paid in Japanese yen at the Orientation on Wednesday, September 8, 2027.
Competitors must present receipts or other documents verifying the airfare at the Orientation.
Any travel expenses exceeding the reimbursed amount, as well as all other travel expenses, shall be borne by the competitor.
Maximum Travel Subsidy
Asia: JPY 80,000
Regions outside Asia: JPY 150,000
If Japanese law requires withholding tax to be deducted from the reimbursement, the payment will be made after such deduction. As of June 2026, the applicable withholding tax rate is generally 20.42%.

Lodging Expenses

Accommodation (excluding meals) for competitors requiring lodging will be provided by the Organizer from the night of Wednesday, September 8, 2027, as follows:
First Round competitors.......... until the morning of Monday, September 13
Second Round competitors.... until the morning of Friday, September 17
Final Round competitors........ until the morning of Monday (National Holiday), September 20
Prize winners......................... until the morning of Tuesday, September 21
Accommodation will be provided only at hotels designated by the Organizer.
